Instructions
Gather all your ingredients: gnocchi, mushrooms, fresh basil, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
Add the gnocchi in a single layer and cook for 5-7 minutes without stirring until golden brown.
Flip the gnocchi and cook for another 5-7 minutes until both sides are golden and crispy.
In a separate pan, sauté sliced mushrooms with a pinch of salt for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Add minced garlic to the mushrooms and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Combine the toasted gnocchi with the sautéed mushrooms and garlic in the skillet, tossing gently.
Add chopped fresh basil and stir for 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil and cheese if desired.
