1/4
cup
Granulated Sugar

4
tablespoons
Unsalted Butter
Melted; not too hot when added to dough.
1/2
cup
Milk
Warmed to a similar temperature as water.
Instructions
Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix well.
Add the yeast mixture, warmed milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until the dough comes together.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Oil a bowl, place the dough inside, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough, divide it into 24 pieces, and roll each into a ball.
Place three balls in each cup of a greased muffin tin to form cloverleaf shapes.
Cover the muffin tin and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Let the rolls cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Serve warm with butter or your favorite spread.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
