Instructions

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • 2. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • 3. Stir in the diced red bell pepper, shredded carrot, and diced mushrooms. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften slightly.
  • 4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and brown sugar. Pour over the chicken mixture and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • 5. Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions and cilantro. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  • 6. Prepare lettuce leaves by rinsing and drying them. Keep them whole for wrapping.
  • 7. Spoon the chicken filling into each lettuce leaf, garnish with cilantro and chili flakes, and enjoy!
