Instructions
Prepare your ingredients by rinsing the fish fillets and patting them dry.
Zest the lime and set the zest aside.
Juice the limes to yield about 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice.
In a bowl, combine lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to create a marinade.
Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Prepare your steamer by filling a pot with 1 cup of water and bringing it to a gentle boil.
Place the marinated fish fillets in the steamer basket in a single layer.
Cover the steamer and steam the fish for about 8-10 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
Carefully remove the fish from the steamer and transfer to a serving plate.
Drizzle any remaining lime sauce over the fish and garnish with cilantro or lime wedges before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
