Instructions

  • 1. Marinate the Steak: In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended. Coat the steak in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 2. Cook the Steak: Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  • 3. Slice the Steak: Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • 4. Warm the Tortillas: Warm tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until pliable.
  • 5. Assemble the Tacos: Take a warm tortilla, add sliced steak, and top with diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, avocado, and cheese. Drizzle with lime juice and add hot sauce if desired.
  • 6. Serve and Enjoy: Arrange tacos on a platter and serve immediately with lime wedges.
