Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
Incorporate the black olives into the mixture and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
Push the tomato and olive mixture to the sides of the skillet and place the salmon fillets skin-side down into the skillet.
Cook the salmon for about 3-4 minutes without moving it.
Drizzle the lemon juice over the fillets.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chopped fresh basil over the top.
Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the Simple Tuscan Salmon Recipe directly from the skillet or transfer to a serving platter.
Notes
Consider adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or using different herbs for variation.
