Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

Ingredients Group Label

  • 4 pieces Salmon Fillets (6 oz each) Skin-on fillets preferred.
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce Good quality store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger (grated) Provides a warm, spicy note.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions (chopped) Used as a garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour marinade over salmon, ensuring each fillet is well-coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Remove salmon from marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard leftover marinade or reserve for glazing.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place salmon skin-side down on the sheet, spaced apart.
  • If desired, brush reserved marinade over the top of the salmon.
  • Bake salmon for 12-15 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Let salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding chili paste for heat, or using different garnishes like radishes or pickled ginger.
