Ingredients

Seafood

  • 2 pounds Large Shrimp, deveined and peeled Fresh shrimp are preferred for best flavor.

Vegetables

  • 1.5 pounds Small New Potatoes Scrubbed clean and left whole.
  • 3-4 ears Corn on the Cob Cut into halves or thirds.

Seasonings

  • 3 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 large Lemon, halved Adds brightness to the dish.

Liquid

  • 8-10 cups Water For boiling the ingredients.
  • 2 tablespoons Salt For seasoning the water.
  • 0.5 cup Butter, melted For drizzling before serving.

Instructions

  • Fill a large pot with 8-10 cups of water and add salt. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • Add the whole potatoes to the pot and cook for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  • Prepare the corn by husking and cutting it. Add to the pot once potatoes are nearly done and boil for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and Old Bay seasoning to the pot, stirring well to combine.
  • Carefully add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 3-5 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Squeeze the juice from the halved lemon into the pot and add the lemon halves for extra flavor.
  • Turn off the heat and let the pot sit for a couple of minutes to deepen flavors.
  • Drain the contents using a colander, retaining the shrimp, potatoes, and corn.
  • Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with melted butter. Garnish with parsley or lemon wedges.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding sausage or other vegetables for variations. Serve family-style for a fun dining experience.
