Instructions

  • Gather all necessary ingredients and tools, including a cutting board, knife, mixing bowl, and airtight container.
  • Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel, avoiding rinsing them under water.
  • Trim the stems of the mushrooms to ensure uniform size. Slice larger mushrooms if necessary.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Add the cleaned mushrooms to the bowl and toss gently to coat them with the marinade.
  • Transfer the mushrooms to an airtight container and pour any remaining marinade over them.
  • Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably several hours or overnight.
  • Serve the marinated mushrooms at room temperature or warm them in a skillet before serving.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle with remaining marinade. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. The flavors will deepen over time.
