Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over it, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
In a food processor, blend roasted red peppers, pine nuts, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
Adjust seasoning of muhammara if needed, transfer to a bowl, and refrigerate until serving.
Remove steak from the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill steak for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
Let the steak rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.
Serve sliced steak with muhammara on the side.
