  • 1/4 cup Honey Provides natural sweetness that caramelizes.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard or yellow mustard Adds a zesty kick.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Keeps the chicken moist during cooking.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Contributes savory depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • Optional Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) For garnish.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine honey, mustard, olive oil, and minced garlic. Whisk until well blended.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish, skin side up.
  • Pour the honey mustard glaze over the chicken thighs.
  • Bake the chicken for 35-45 minutes, checking for doneness at 35 minutes.
  • Baste the chicken with pan juices halfway through baking.
  • Turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes for extra crispy skin.
  • Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
