Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix gently.
  • Add the chopped green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the mixture.
  • Season with soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix until fully combined.
  • Form meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden.
  • Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining additional soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Simmer the sauce for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven and toss them in the saucepan with the teriyaki sauce.
  • Simmer the meatballs in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Let the meatballs cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
