Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add softened butter and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs until light and frothy.
  • Add corn syrup, sugar, vanilla bean paste, and salt to the eggs. Mix until smooth.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.
  • Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until the filling is set.
