Instructions
Prepare your ingredients by slicing the bread thickly, about 1-inch thick.
In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them thoroughly until combined.
Add the milk to the beaten eggs and mix well until fully combined.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon and salt into the egg mixture and stir until well incorporated.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.
Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides without soaking too long.
Place the soaked bread slice onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the slice over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.
Transfer the cooked slice to a warm plate and repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.
Serve warm, optionally keeping them in a low oven while finishing cooking.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
