  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cut into thin strips.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Ginger Grated.
  • 4-5 pieces Scallions Finely sliced.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce For marinating the chicken.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Adds a nutty flavor.
  • 4-6 pieces Tortillas Flour or whole wheat.
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil For cooking the chicken.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste.
  • Optional Toppings Shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, or cilantro.

Instructions

  • Slice the chicken into thin strips.
  • Combine chicken with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Finely slice scallions, separating the white and green parts.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the white parts of the scallions to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Warm tortillas until soft and pliable.
  • Assemble wraps by placing chicken mixture in the center of a tortilla, topping with green scallions and optional toppings.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll up from the bottom.
  • Serve warm, either whole or sliced in half.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
