  • 2 cups Water Can substitute half with vegetable broth for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped finely for even distribution.
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust based on personal preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Can substitute with melted butter.

Instructions

  • 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
  • 2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt. Stir gently.
  • 3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low and cover.
  • 4. Simmer on low heat for 15-18 minutes without lifting the lid.
  • 5. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  • 6. Fluff the rice with a fork.
  • 7. Mix lime juice and olive oil in a small bowl, then pour over the rice.
  • 8. Fold in the chopped cilantro gently.
  • 9. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • 10. Serve warm as a side dish or base for your favorite protein.
