Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries Choose ripe, firm strawberries that are bright red and free from blemishes.
  • 8 ounces Chocolate Chips Use high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips.
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil or Vegetable Oil Optional, for smoother chocolate consistency.
  • 1/4 cup Toppings (Optional) Finely chopped nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut.

Instructions

  • Wash the fresh strawberries gently under cool running water and pat them dry thoroughly.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, measure out 8 ounces of chocolate chips. If using, add coconut oil or vegetable oil.
  • Microwave the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth.
  • Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly, then dip each strawberry by holding it by the green stem and swirling it in the chocolate.
  • Shake off any excess chocolate and place the dipped strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • If desired, add toppings immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely.
  • Once set, remove from the refrigerator and serve on a platter.

Notes

For best flavor and texture, serve the strawberries the same day they are made.
