Instructions
Wash the fresh strawberries gently under cool running water and pat them dry thoroughly.
In a microwave-safe bowl, measure out 8 ounces of chocolate chips. If using, add coconut oil or vegetable oil.
Microwave the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth.
Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly, then dip each strawberry by holding it by the green stem and swirling it in the chocolate.
Shake off any excess chocolate and place the dipped strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
If desired, add toppings immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet.
Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely.
