Ingredients

Tofu

  • 14 ounces Firm Tofu Press to remove excess moisture.

Chipotle Sauce

  • 2-3 tablespoons Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce Provides smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Adds savory flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin Lends earthy warmth.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For sautéing tofu.

Seasoning

Taco Base

  • 8 small Corn Tortillas Warm before serving.

Garnish

  • 1 handful Fresh Cilantro Chopped for garnish.
  • 1 lime Lime Wedges For serving.

Instructions

  • Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Prepare the chipotle sauce by mixing chipotle peppers, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the cubed tofu.
  • Cook tofu for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Pour the chipotle sauce over the tofu and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet or oven.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing the chipotle tofu mixture onto each tortilla.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
