Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef (Sirloin or Flank Steak) Thinly sliced against the grain for tenderness.
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers Mixed colors for flavor and presentation.
  • 1 cup Broccoli Florets for crunch and nutrition.
  • 1 medium Carrot Julienned or sliced thinly.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Freshly grated for warmth.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil For a nutty flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil For stir-frying.
  • to taste Green Onions Chopped for garnish.

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients: thinly slice beef, wash and slice bell peppers, cut broccoli, and julienne carrot.
  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch to create a marinade.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  • Add sliced beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Avoid overcrowding.
  • Stir the beef and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until nearly cooked through. Remove from pan.
  • Add bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return beef to the pan, pour the marinade over, and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat, adjust seasonings if necessary, and serve hot garnished with green onions.

Notes

For variations, add different vegetables or nuts, and adjust seasoning to taste.
