Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients: balsamic vinegar, granulated sugar, salt, and water.
  • Pour one cup of balsamic vinegar into the saucepan and turn the heat to medium-high.
  • Once the vinegar reaches a simmer, add one-fourth cup of granulated sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Add a pinch of salt and stir it in thoroughly.
  • Pour in one-fourth cup of water and continue stirring as the mixture heats.
  • Allow the mixture to come back to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently.
  • After about 15 to 20 minutes, the glaze should become syrupy and coat the back of a spoon.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the glaze to cool slightly.
  • Transfer the glaze to a heatproof container or jar and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
