Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove chicken and set aside. Sauté diced onions and bell peppers in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes.
Return chicken to the skillet and pour pizza sauce over it.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken and sauce.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is fully cooked (165°F/75°C).
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
