Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Each weighing approximately 6 ounces.

Sauce

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Store-bought or homemade.

Cheese

  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese For that iconic pizza flavor.

Seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove chicken and set aside. Sauté diced onions and bell peppers in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and pour pizza sauce over it.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken and sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is fully cooked (165°F/75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
