Instructions
Start by preparing the cabbage. Remove the outer leaves and cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick wedges.
Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, toss the cabbage wedges with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
Once the grill or skillet is hot, carefully place the cabbage wedges on the surface.
Cook the cabbage for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.
Using tongs, carefully flip the wedges and cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side.
While the cabbage is charring, warm the hot honey in a small saucepan over low heat.
Once the cabbage is beautifully charred and tender, remove it from the heat and drizzle the warmed hot honey over the wedges.
Let the cabbage sit for a minute to allow the hot honey to adhere.
Finally, serve the Savory Hot Honey Charred Cabbage warm, garnished with additional black pepper or chili flakes if desired.
Notes
For variations, consider adding smoked paprika, garlic, or different types of honey. Serve with grilled meats or as a topping for grain bowls.
