Instructions

  • Chop the fresh salmon into small pieces, aiming for a coarse texture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, minced garlic, and green onions.
  • Add the gochujang to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  • Incorporate the breadcrumbs until fully absorbed.
  • Crack the egg into the bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper, adjusting to taste.
  • Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with oil.
  • Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before serving on buns with desired toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
