Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring well. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour, mixing until a rough dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  • While the dough rises, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil, then minced garlic, sautéing for 30 seconds.
  • Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then add spinach until wilted.
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into desired shape, about ¼ inch thick.
  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small edge for the crust.
  • Distribute the sautéed garlic, mushrooms, and spinach mixture over the sauce. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
