Savory Chicken Gyro Fries

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cut into strips for even cooking.

Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin for best flavor.
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano Key for Mediterranean flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds color and subtle sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper To taste.

Fries

  • 2-3 large Russet Potatoes Or use frozen fries.
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce For topping.

Fresh Vegetables

  • 1 cup Sliced Tomatoes For topping.
  • 1 cup Red Onions Sliced, for topping.
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded, for topping.

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken by cutting it into thin strips.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
  • Add chicken strips to the marinade, coat thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare fries by washing and cutting potatoes into strips. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  • Drain and pat dry the potatoes. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake fries until golden brown.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes until cooked through.
  • Layer crispy fries on a serving platter, top with cooked chicken, drizzle with tzatziki, and add fresh vegetables.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Customize with additional toppings like cheese or jalapeños for a loaded version.
