Instructions
Rinse the green beans under cold water and trim the ends.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the green beans and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until tender-crisp.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes during the last minute of cooking.
Remove from heat and squeeze lemon juice over the beans, tossing to combine.
Serve immediately, garnished with sliced almonds if desired.
