Instructions

  • 1. Slice the Italian sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • 3. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  • 4. Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for 8-10 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  • 5. Stir in minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • 6. Return the sausage to the skillet and mix with the vegetables. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • 7. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with parsley.
