Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds Soaked to expand and create texture.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice Juice from one medium lemon.
  • 2 cups Water Filtered or purified water.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sweetener (optional) Honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • handful Mint Leaves (optional) Gently muddled for flavor.

Instructions

  • Measure 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and place them in a small bowl or jar.
  • Pour 1 cup of water over the chia seeds and stir gently.
  • Set aside for 10-15 minutes until the chia seeds expand.
  • Juice a fresh lemon to yield 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • In a pitcher, add 2 cups of water and the lemon juice.
  • Add the hydrated chia seeds to the pitcher.
  • If desired, add sweetener and muddled mint leaves.
  • Stir the mixture thoroughly and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Serve in glasses filled with ice, garnished with mint or lemon slices.

Notes

Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
