  • 4 cups Water Fresh, filtered water for brewing.
  • 4-6 bags Tea Leaves or Tea Bags Choose black or green tea based on preference.
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Sweetener Sugar, honey, or agave syrup to taste.
  • 1-2 lemons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for flavor.
  • 1 handful Fresh Herbs Mint or basil, muddled to release oils.

Instructions

  • Begin by boiling 4 cups of water in a kettle.
  • Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat and add your tea leaves or tea bags.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes.
  • Prepare your sweetener by mixing it with a small amount of hot water to dissolve it.
  • After steeping, remove the tea bags or strain out the loose leaves.
  • Add the prepared sweetener and stir thoroughly.
  • Let the tea cool to room temperature before transferring it to a pitcher.
  • Squeeze in the juice of 1-2 lemons and add the fresh herbs.
  • Refrigerate the tea for at least 2 hours to chill.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and herbs.
