Ingredients

Chicken Thighs

Barbecue Sauce

Olive Oil

Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat well with the marinade. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up on the wire rack, spaced apart.
  • Brush each thigh with barbecue sauce, reserving some for later.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking after 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Baste with additional barbecue sauce and return to the oven for 10 more minutes.
  • Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with reserved barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
