Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat well with the marinade. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up on the wire rack, spaced apart.
Brush each thigh with barbecue sauce, reserving some for later.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking after 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Baste with additional barbecue sauce and return to the oven for 10 more minutes.
Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Serve with reserved barbecue sauce on the side.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
