Instructions
Prepare the beef chuck roast by trimming excess fat and patting it dry.
Season the beef generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
In a skillet, sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer the seared beef to the slow cooker. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth in a bowl, then pour over the beef.
Add BBQ sauce to the slow cooker and stir gently to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until fork-tender.
Remove beef, let it rest, then shred with forks.
Return shredded beef to the slow cooker, mix with juices, and adjust seasoning if needed.
Assemble sandwiches with shredded beef on rolls and add desired toppings.
Serve immediately while warm.
