Instructions

  • Prepare the beef chuck roast by trimming excess fat and patting it dry.
  • Season the beef generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  • In a skillet, sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the seared beef to the slow cooker. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth in a bowl, then pour over the beef.
  • Add BBQ sauce to the slow cooker and stir gently to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until fork-tender.
  • Remove beef, let it rest, then shred with forks.
  • Return shredded beef to the slow cooker, mix with juices, and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Assemble sandwiches with shredded beef on rolls and add desired toppings.
  • Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
