Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent.
Remove onions from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onions, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until well integrated.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
