Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium-sized bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Season the top with a pinch of black pepper.
Flip the salmon fillets and pour the glaze over them.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and let the salmon rest for a minute.
Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with remaining glaze. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
