  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Light or dark brown sugar.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Low-sodium soy sauce preferred.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Fresh grated ginger.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Freshly ground.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For cooking the salmon.
  • to taste Fresh Herbs Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  • Season the top with a pinch of black pepper.
  • Flip the salmon fillets and pour the glaze over them.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let the salmon rest for a minute.
  • Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with remaining glaze. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
