Instructions

  • 1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • 2. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • 3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and beef broth, stirring well. Add oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper, and bring to a simmer.
  • 4. Break lasagna noodles into pieces and add to the skillet. Stir to ensure they are submerged. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dollop spoonfuls over the lasagna and gently press down.
  • 6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • 7. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
