Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts Pounded thin for even cooking.

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning A mix of herbs like basil and oregano.

Breading

  • 1 cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs For coating the chicken.
  • 1 large Egg For binding the breadcrumbs.

Pizza Assembly

  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese For topping the pizza.
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese For added flavor.
  • 1 12-inch Pre-made Pizza Dough Base for the pizza.

Garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to about half an inch thick and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Set up a breading station with beaten egg in one bowl and seasoned breadcrumbs in another. Dip chicken in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the breaded chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spread marinara sauce over the dough, then arrange sliced chicken on top.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken and sauce.
  • Slide the pizza onto the hot stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  • Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
