Instructions
Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3–4 minutes until translucent.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute, stirring frequently.
Introduce the diced carrots and celery. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until softened.
Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook for 6–8 minutes until no longer pink.
Stir in the tomato paste and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a gentle simmer.
Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Adjust to taste.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving.
Serve hot over pasta, polenta, or as a filling for various dishes.
Notes
