Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces Pasta of choice (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne) Cooked al dente.

Garlic

  • 6 cloves Fresh garlic, minced Adds robust flavor.

Butter

  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter Adds richness to the sauce.

Olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil Enhances flavor.

Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese Melts beautifully.

Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.

Pepper

  • Freshly ground black pepper To taste.

Parsley

  • 1/4 cup Chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Red pepper flakes

  • Optional red pepper flakes For heat.

Instructions

  • 1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  • 2. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  • 3. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss in the garlic-infused butter. Gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  • 4. Add Cheese and Season: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  • 5. Garnish and Serve: Transfer to serving dishes, garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
