Ingredients

Fresh Ingredients

  • 500 grams Fresh Strawberries Ripe and firm, sliced into halves or quarters.
  • 4-6 pieces Meringue Nests Store-bought or homemade, crisp on the outside.
  • 300 milliliters Heavy Cream Well-chilled for whipping.
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered Sugar To sweeten the whipped cream.
  • 0.5 pieces Vanilla Bean (optional) For added flavor, scrape out seeds.

Instructions

  • Prepare the strawberries by rinsing and slicing them. Place in a mixing bowl.
  • Add a tablespoon of powdered sugar to the strawberries and toss gently. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, pour in the cold heavy cream and whip on medium speed until it thickens.
  • Gradually add the remaining tablespoon of powdered sugar and whip until soft peaks form.
  • If using, fold in the vanilla bean seeds into the whipped cream.
  • Break the meringue nests into large pieces.
  • In a serving dish, layer the meringue pieces, followed by whipped cream, and then the macerated strawberries.
  • Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with strawberries on top.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.

Notes

Store components separately to maintain meringue's crunchiness. Assemble just before serving.
