Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon Fillets Skin-on fillets, about 6 ounces each.
  • 2 Fresh Lemons One for juice and zest, one for garnish.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin.
  • 1 handful Fresh Herbs Chopped parsley and dill for garnish.
  • to taste Salt Coarse sea salt recommended.
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly cracked.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare a baking dish by lightly greasing it with olive oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the baking dish and pour the marinade over them.
  • Slice one lemon into rounds and arrange on top of the salmon.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with chopped herbs and serve with additional lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding capers, olives, or a dollop of Dijon mustard to the marinade.
