  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar Adds sweetness and activates yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor and controls yeast activity.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm water 110°F, essential for activating yeast.
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter Melted, adds richness and flavor.
  • 1 large Egg Enriches dough and adds color.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, granulated sugar, and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add the melted butter and egg to the bowl. Mix well until everything is combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let it rest in a warm area for about 30 minutes.
  • After resting, punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each into a ball. Place in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover the dish and let the rolls rise for another 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
