Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 medium Apples Preferably a mix of sweet and tart varieties like Gala and Granny Smith.
  • 1 cup Grapes Halved seedless grapes.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Celery Finely chopped.

Nuts

  • 1 cup Walnuts Chopped.

Dressing

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise For creaminess.
  • ½ cup Plain Yogurt For added tanginess.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.

Seasoning

  • Salt To taste.
  • Black Pepper Freshly ground, to taste.

Instructions

  • Wash the apples and grapes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry.
  • Core the apples and chop them into bite-sized pieces, leaving the skin on. Place in a large mixing bowl.
  • Trim and wash the celery, then slice into small pieces. Add to the mixing bowl.
  • Halve the grapes and add them to the bowl.
  • Chop the walnuts and add them to the bowl, mixing gently.
  • In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise and yogurt until smooth.
  • Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and gently fold to combine.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with additional walnuts before serving.

Notes

This salad is perfect for family gatherings and can be made ahead of time. For a vegan version, substitute the mayonnaise and yogurt with plant-based alternatives.
