Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and toast for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let the hazelnuts cool slightly, then rub them in a kitchen towel to remove excess skins.
  • Transfer the peeled hazelnuts to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add cocoa powder and blend until fully incorporated.
  • Pour in honey or maple syrup, vegetable oil, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or salt if needed, then blend again.
  • Transfer to a clean jar and let cool before sealing. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

For variations, consider adding spices, melted chocolate, or using sunflower seeds for a nut-free version.
