Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
Add softened butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Beat the egg and add it to the mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Press the dough into a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until set. Let cool completely.
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for a minute.
Whisk until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, if using.
Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Slice and serve, optionally garnished with fresh fruits or whipped cream.
