Ingredients

Corn on the Cob

  • 4-6 ears Fresh Corn Choose ears with bright green husks and plump kernels.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Use extra virgin for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust based on personal preference.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 0.25 cup Butter Optional, for brushing after grilling.

Fresh Herbs (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs Chopped cilantro, parsley, or basil.

Cheese (optional)

  • 0.25 cup Crumbled Cheese Feta or cotija recommended.

Instructions

  • Select fresh corn on the cob with bright green husks and plump kernels.
  • Remove the husks and silks from each ear of corn.
  • Soak the corn in water for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F to 450°F).
  • Remove the corn from the water and brush each ear lightly with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the corn.
  • Place the corn directly on the grill grates and grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Remove the corn from the grill and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  • If desired, melt butter and brush it over the grilled corn.
  • Sprinkle fresh herbs or crumbled cheese over the corn while warm.
  • Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For variations, consider adding chili powder, lime juice, or different cheeses.
