Potatoes

Cream

Butter

Garlic

Seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with butter.
  • Peeled and thinly slice the potatoes, placing them in cold water to prevent browning.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg; simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Drain the potatoes and pat dry. Layer them in the baking dish, adding cheese sauce between layers.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
