Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds Beef Ribs Look for ribs with a good amount of meat on the bone.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin olive oil for marinating.
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar For a sweet and sticky glaze.
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder Adds savory depth.
  • 2 teaspoons Onion Powder Enhances the savory notes.
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika Imparts a rich, smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adds heat; adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Salt For seasoning the ribs.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground for flavor.
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Your favorite barbecue sauce for glazing.

Instructions

  • 1. Rinse the beef ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • 2. Remove the membrane from the bone side of the ribs.
  • 3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  • 4. Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
  • 5. Wrap the seasoned ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
  • 6. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  • 7. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • 8. Place the ribs bone side down on the grill and cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • 9. Check for tenderness after 1.5 hours; the meat should pull away from the bones.
  • 10. In the last 30 minutes, brush BBQ sauce over the ribs.
  • 11. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  • 12. Slice the ribs between the bones and serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to maintain tenderness.
