  • 2 pounds Cauliflower One medium-sized head, cut into florets.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter For sautéing garlic and adding creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream For a velvety consistency.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground.
  • 1 handful Chives or Parsley Finely chopped for garnish.

Instructions

  • Prepare the cauliflower by removing leaves and stem, cutting into florets, and rinsing under cold water.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the cauliflower florets. Cook for 10-12 minutes until fork-tender.
  • While the cauliflower cooks, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Drain the cooked cauliflower and let it sit in a colander to release excess moisture.
  • Transfer the drained cauliflower to a mixing bowl or food processor. Add sautéed garlic and melted butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Blend or mash the mixture until smooth, adjusting seasoning as necessary.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped chives or parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated. For variations, consider adding cheese, herbs, or spices.
