Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
In a large oven-safe baking dish, place the block of feta cheese in the center and surround it with the halved cherry tomatoes.
Drizzle the olive oil over the feta and tomatoes, ensuring everything is well coated.
Add the minced garlic evenly over the feta and tomatoes.
Season generously with salt and pepper, and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the feta is melted and golden, and the tomatoes are soft.
Chop the fresh basil leaves and set aside.
Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and mash the feta and tomatoes together to create a creamy sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
Fold the cooked pasta into the creamy mixture, ensuring every piece is coated.
Finish with chopped fresh basil and serve immediately.
