Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Dust with powdered sugar or decorate as desired once cooled.
