  • 2 large Chicken Breasts Boneless, skinless, approximately 1 pound total.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten.
  • 1 cup Italian-style Breadcrumbs Pre-seasoned for added flavor.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated.
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Homemade or high-quality store-bought.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Whole milk mozzarella recommended.
  • ½ cup Olive Oil For frying.
  • 1 handful Fresh Basil For garnish, optional.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
  • Set up a dredging station with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In a baking dish, spread marinara sauce, place the fried chicken on top, and spoon more sauce over it. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Serve with spaghetti, garlic bread, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
